On February 25th, The Makazi Foundation hosted a General Meeting and Orientation at Mo and Mic Lodge, marking a significant step in strengthening internal cohesion and introducing new members to the heart of our mission.

Starting point
The orientation served as an opportunity to welcome new team members and familiarize them with the Foundation’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. It was an essential platform for cultivating shared understanding, values, and direction among old and new members alike.
Training, Structure, and Leadership
Participants received valuable insights into the Foundation’s core program areas; including Mental Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and Holistic Education. Discussions covered how programs are implemented on the ground and the data-driven strategies behind our community work.
Key highlights of the day included:
A strategic address from the Vice Chairperson, outlining the Foundation’s direction and upcoming initiatives.
A legal briefing from the Legal Advisor, who clarified the legal frameworks guiding our operations and emphasized our Code of Conduct and ethical standards.
Laying the Groundwork for the Future
The meeting concluded on a high note, with a renewed sense of commitment from all members. The session laid a strong foundation for teamwork, accountability, and aligned action, as the Foundation moves forward with its growing portfolio of impactful projects.
