In its continued mission to advocate for gender equality and protect vulnerable communities, The Makazi Foundation launched a powerful online webinar series focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). This initiative provided an open, inclusive platform for education, dialogue, and advocacy.

The webinar series featured a diverse panel of speakers, including legal experts, activists, health professionals, and survivors, who shared their insights and experiences on a wide range of topics. Discussions covered:

  • Understanding GBV in the Malawian context

  • Legal frameworks and policies protecting survivors

  • Available support services and pathways to justice

  • The psychological and societal impact of GBV

  • The role of community action in prevention and intervention

Public Engagement and Impact
