The Makazi Foundation

Providing Shelter to the Most Vulnerable

Makazi is the Swahili word to mean Shelter.

No child or young person should face barriers to living a successful life. Our non-profit organization strives to provide psychosocial support, holistic education, and vocational skills training to vulnerable youth and children in Malawi.

Green Skills for Youth

The theme for International Youth Day 2023 was "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World." The theme of green skills highlights the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need to contribute to a sustainable future. In light of this theme, we partnered with Cocoon Arts and donated 10 recycle bins to Mount View International Primary School in Blantyre.

International Youth Day 2023

In line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3 'Good Health and Well-Being', one of our aims is to provide psychosocial support to the youth as a means of sheltering them from poverty.

In celebration of International Youth Day and this year's theme, "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World," the Makazi Foundation, in partnership with Cocoon Arts, donated 10 recycle bins to Mount View Primary School.
